I started my first photo blog “thetimelessmoment.com” in 2012. While it wasn’t perfect and didn’t generate much traffic, I regularly maintained it with posts and photos. It was like a “shelter” that I could escape from the demanding daily work. I took advantage of my constant travels and always found time in between busy schedule by taking street shoots.
After I switched to a new job in 2014, I work days and nights. Eventually I was overtaken by work and began to ignore the my passion in photography. Timelessmoment was finally shut down since I didn’t bother to pay for the hosting fee.
Working hard without a balanced life is a serious problem. I exercise regularly but it can only reduce stress to a certain extent. Other than working. I lost the feeling of having fun that I found in photography. I realised that I can no longer afford to lose my work-life balance. Thanks to Jin Klenk! She newly joined my digital marketing team and is also a very talented fashion blogger, encouraged me to follow my passion and restart a new photoblog.
So here we are … HumphreyChanPhotography is my commitment to get out of madness of daily work and rediscover the inner peace that I once had. Rather than merely a building a “shelter”, I’d like to develop this into a land of creativity, beauty, and inspiration that not only for myself but to all of you.
